Hello everyone!!!!
I'm so glad to hear everyone is doing good :) This week a lot of crazy and amazing things happened!! I believe in Miracles!!
So to start on Monday we had FHE with the Purvis family. The mom Kyle is the one who isn't a member. We taught them about the restoration and then watched the 20 minute video on Joseph Smith. The spirit was so strong! I feel that as long as we keep bringing the spirit in their home she will want to feel it more. We are going to their home for dinner tonight so I'm excited!
There is a woman in our ward named Sister Shipley. She is amazing!! I love her! She took us to stake conference this past week and is always taking care of us. Her daughters aren't active and they have kids who haven't been baptized. Soo...this past week we taught her grandkids the plan of salvation. It was so much fun! I love teaching kids! There are 5 of them who we are teaching and after we finished teaching them they said, "wow. We need to get baptized!" haha it was the best. They are so cute! Sister Shipley said that she saw a huge change in them when we started teaching them. She says the sisters teach better than the elders :) it's nice being in a ward that hasn't had sisters for awhile. They love us even more haha.
This past saturday I got to go back to Purdue to see Guocheng who I taught get baptized!! It was amazing!!! I was able to speak on baptism and the spirit was so strong. After the baptism a friend he brought came up to us and said,"I've been to other baptisms before but there is a different feeling here. I would like to be baptized as well!" She couldn't stop smiling! It was so cute!!! Her name is Emily so the sisters at Purdue will teach her. There really is such a strong spirit at baptisms. So we drove up to the temple and got to see President one last time before he leaves. Then the Anderson's drove us to Lafayette, stayed for the baptism, and then drove us all the way back to Columbus. They were so nice to do that. It was so fun!! I love them!! We had such a good time on the drive. I don't get to see them as much so this was a good chance to spend some time together.
It's been such a good week!! Also, good news is Sister Gray got her boot off! We went to the doctor and they said it's healing enough that she doesn't have to wear it anymore. yay!!
Love you and miss you all!!!
Love,
Sister Smith
