Hello Everyone!!
Grandma Jardine, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! It was so fun to see pictures of you all last night while I was at a members home. I miss you all so so so so much! I'm glad to see everyone is doing well.
This week has been full of miracles!! I feel like I say that every week but it's true haha. The other day Sister Krout and I decided to walk to our area instead of drive. We live about 2-4 miles out of our area but nothin we can't handle. As we were walking a tall man infront of us turned around and asked us if we knew of any cool hangout places as a 22 year old. Haha all I could think of was the YSA. We told him that we didn't and that we were missionaries. We told him about what we do and asked him if he wanted to learn more. He said yes! Then he asked if we could meet later that day. Of course! So we met with him and invited him to be baptized. He said he would because he wanted to follow the example of Jesus Christ. He is so solid! It was so amazing how God just placed him in our path. He texted us this morning and said he read 3 Nephi 11 and said it was a "life changer!" His name is Andrew Jordan. He plays basketball and is trying to play for a college. When we told him about President Cleveland he freaked out and said he wanted to meet him. He looks like he could be Michael Jordan's grandson or somethin.
Another miracle happened yesterday at church. A member came up to us and said that her grandson is 9 years old and wants to be baptized. She said she wants us to teach him! God loves us.
Yesterday was also a sad day though. Nanette texted us Sunday morning and said she was up and getting ready for church. Well...she didn't show up. We tried texting her, calling her, and we even stopped by. We were also supposed to go to the addiction recovery but we couldn't get ahold of her. I'm getting really worried. She is so close but at the same time has quite a bit of obstacles to overcome.
Funny story: This past week we have been low on miles alloted to us to drive with our car. So...we decided to bike. Okay first off I haven't biked for a long time and second I've NEVER biked in a skirt. We borrowed the Elders bikes and went on our adventure. I'm sure we looked like total idiots but it actually was a lot of fun. May have flashed a few people but it all worked out.
This past week I also LOVED the womens broadcast! Wasn't it amazing?!! I loved how bold they all were and especially I loved Elder Uchtdorf's talk. The spirit was so strong and I am so grateful for the things I learned that night.
I love you all so much! Thank you for all the support.
Love,
Sister Smith
