Hello everyone!!!
It was so good to see you all on Mothers day!! I miss seeing your faces!! I'm glad to hear everyone is doing well. I'm so excited to tell you about my week!!
On Tuesday we went on exchanges with the sisters in Williamsport. Their apartment smelled so bad!! It smells like smoke. The people below them smoke a lot and so it carries into their apartment. When I got home I had to wash all of my stuff. We had good exchanges though. I went with Sister Lunt. She is so cute!! She just laughed at me the whole time. We went to this one house and a man opened the door in just a towel. He started chasing his dog around to try and get it to stop barking. I have never prayed so hard in my life. I just was praying that his towel wouldn't fall off. Thankfully it didn't, he put on some pants and then made a few inappropriate comments to us. I think he was drunk. We left that porch real quick haha.
We taught Guang that night. He is from China and doesn't believe in God. We've been having him pray and he told us in his lesson about an experience he had. He said he had been praying to get a good grade in one of his classes. He calculated it and it said he was going to get a B- but then he would have to take the class again. Well...when his grades came out it was a B+!!!! When he prayed at the end of the lesson he thanked God for helping him. It was a miracle!!!!
We also had another interesting experience this last week. We have gotten to know the Elders investigator Claire pretty well. She is Asian and is studying here at Purdue. She told us that in China she would get massages all the time and asked us if we would like a full body massage. We said yes!! So we go over to her house and she has me go first. I was laying on her bed and all of a sudden she just like jumped on top of me and started doing a deep tissue massage. It hurt so bad!!! I thought I was going to cry. So instead I prayed haha. It was a really nice gesture but I will probably never let her massage me again.
I love you all!! Hope you have a good week :)
Love,
Sister Smith
