Hello!!!!
Family I miss you all so much! It sounds like you're all doing good so I'm glad to hear that!
This past week has been full of miracles like always. God is good :) So to start off, this whole transfer there has been a name on our whiteboard under "Investigators." His name is Matt Pinard. Unfortunately his information was not in the area book and I had no idea how to get in contact with him. Well long story short I found this paper that had his information and we called him up to meet with him. When we met up with him we taught him the restoration. He told us about his crazy life. Then after the lesson we invited him to be baptized. He said yes and asked us when he could be baptized. I couldn't believe it! So we started to talk about some dates and then he said,"Will it be a problem that I'm moving to Michigan this weekend?" Sister Krout and I just started Laughing. Inside I was dying!!! NOOOOO!!! Well on Saturday we went to help him and his family move. His wife, he told us, did NOT like the missionaries. Well we started to help her pack her closest and just started talking and getting to know her. She warmed up to us so fast. She told us that she hated the Catholic church and asked us what our church service was like. After we told her she said she wanted to go. AND then she asked us what made our church different than other churches. We were able to teach her the restoration in her closet haha. She has a HUGE closet. After that she said that it was amazing and that she wanted us to teach her about our church! It was amazing to see how by doing service we were able to soften her heart. Unfortunately we won't be teaching them but she told us we could come visit them at their lake house next summer. Hahaha mission life is great. Oh and she also gave us each a shirt from her closet. So we are all best friends now.
We've been having a hard time lately in this area building our teaching pool. We get new investigators all the time but then they never keep their commitment for the next lesson.
We don't really know how Nanette is doing. We are meeting with her tonight but I know that she's been really sick. Hopefully we can put her on date again. She is trying to quit smoking but it just keeps making her sick. Please pray for her.
We had stake conference this past week and they talked about temples. It was amazing! Smokey was able to come on Sunday and when he showed up he was in a suit and nice tie! It was so cute!
Anyway this has been my week! Nothin too exciting just the usual grind of missionary work. I love it. I love everyday! Love you all! Have an amazing week!
Love,
Sister Smith
