Hello Family!!!
It sounds like everyone is having a ton of fun! Jake and Josh that's awesome you both had matches! I want to hear all about them. Send me pics too!
Okay so this week has been another crazy week. First off I've learned a lot more about Hoosiers. They all have no teeth, smoke, and have a beard...even the women. I come home smelling like smoke everyday. The smell makes me want to throw up. I just spray myself with a lot of febreeze haha. We got three new investigators this week and all three fell through this week as well. :( Funny how things work out. Everyone is very religious here and stubborn. But don't worry because I am too!! They aint got nothin on me!
Everyday is basically the same. We get up at 5:30 am because my whole district is all about working out. Come back study and then tract ALL DAY. I swear I say at least 10 prayers before we leave our apartment. Tracting gets exhausting but it's really fun at the same time. I really like it! There are a lot of interesting people here in Indiana. I always laugh after each door. This week we met a Muslim man who basically bashed on our beliefs. He said, "SHAME ON YOU." Okay...thanks we'll take that into consideration. We also went by a home and they turned their car alarm on until we were off their property. I've gotten really good at teaching the restoration through a window. No one likes to open the door so I teach them the restoration while they're peeking out the window. Rookies. Also, the first Saturday of each month they test the tornado sirens. Well I didn't know that so when they went off I started freaking out! A local had to tell us it was just a test. Whoops.
Everyday I continue to get knocked down by dogs. It's a daily occurrence. I've also slipped on the ice twice this week. The joys of winter. Luckily it's getting warmer so that will be good. My apartment is infested with ants. I've never seen so many ants in my life! We're going to call maintenance today so hopefully we'll get it figured out. I've gotten good at kneeling on a chair to pray instead of the floor. Other good ways of spreading the gospel is when you pull up to a stop light, roll down your window and yell at them till they let you hand them a pass along card. I recommend you all try it. My trainer doesn't like when I do that but I think it's fun. You never know how you will find someone.
Well I love you all!!! Miss you lots but LOVING the mission at the same time! There are so many amazing people here and the ward takes care of us. I would invite you all to talk to the missionaries and see if you can help them in anyway. Be a member missionary and go to lessons with them. When someone volunteers it's so much easier than trying to track someone down. Peace and blessings ya'll!!!
Love,
Your Hoosier
P.S. Mom can you send me my white coat? It's getting to the in between stages of winter. Thanks!
