Hello!!!
It's so good to hear you're all doing good! I can't believe Dillon graduated and Savannah had her birthday! Everyone is growing up. You all look so big in the pictures.
This week has been SO GOOD!!! Every time a miracle would happen I'd be like "I'm so excited to email my family!!"
Okay first I want to tell you about Guocheng. He's so amazing!! He is from China and had never heard about God until we started teaching him. This past week we taught him about the Plan of Salvation. He said the most incredible things! He told us that he understood that his body was a gift from God and that he needed to take care of it. We told him that we had a whole lesson for that haha. After we talked about it we invited him to be baptized on June 25th and he said yes!!!! He got a big smile on his face. It was the greatest. We had another lesson with him this week and we taught him the Restoration. At the end he said he had something to tell us. We thought he was going to drop us. He said that his family is all Buddhist and that he has a long line in his family of being Buddhist. He told us that he knows that this church is true. He said he believes in God and knows that we were a sign for him. He started to tear up and said that it was just hard but no matter what he said he'll be baptized. We told him that what he's doing is right and to just think of us adding on to his faith. We said a prayer with him to give him some comfort and at the end he just hung his head down and tears fell down his face. We told him it was okay to cry and that he would fit in this church very well haha. HE'S SO AMAZING!!!! He is a gift from God. He is so prepared and I am so blessed to be able to teach him. After he cleaned himself up we gave him an ice cream sandwich and he felt better. He told us he was so excited to have brothers and sisters in the church because he's the only child. I'll try and send you a pic of him next week!
Another miracle is Kevin. He is the one from Ecuador. He's having a little bit of a hard time accepting some of the things we are teaching him. He loves the social part though. He gets mad when we don't tell him about an activity. There was a bbq with the YSA last night and we told Kevin we couldn't be there till later. He said that's fine I have other friends there haha. When we got there he said hi to us and then just wanted to hangout with other people. It's the greatest. He also went to a baptism with us this morning. He said he liked it. They say that 80% of those who attend baptisms get baptized themselves. I hope he is part of the 80 percent haha.
We also went to a members home this past week and they have the coolest swing. It's a member from my first area. That ward is feeding us so I've been able to see a lot of my old friends. It's like in the woods and it swings out so far. You start from up high and I thought I was going to throw up. I got so nervous and was shaking all over. I did it though!!
Funny story: The other day I was so tired. Actually basically this whole week. I've cried a few times randomly cause I have been so tired haha. We were giving the elders a ride and I thought they were both in the car. Well one of them was only half way in and I started driving away. Thankfully he didn't get too hurt haha. My life.
Love you all!!! Miss you lots!!!
Love,
Sister Smith
P.S. Please pray for my investigators!!!!!
