Hello Everyone!!!
Jake I can't believe you were in a car accident! I hope you are doing okay! I love you and am praying for you. It sounds like besides the accident you all had a good week. I'm so proud of Sabrina! It sounds like she has made a change for good. I hope that you will see that in me when I come home.
This past week was a little crazy as always. We had specialized training on Tuesday. This is for all the new missionaries who come in. We were able to role play a lot and learn more about how to become better teachers. Sister Krout and I also had to do a role play with President in front of everyone for an example. I was so scared! My heart was pounding so hard haha but it turned out well. I LOVE teaching and I LOVE missionary work. I've learned so much!
This past week we were able to meet with Nanette. It went really good and she is ready to be baptized except she hasn't completely quit smoking. Please pray that she can overcome this. We had the elders over and they were able to give her a blessing. I love her so much. I feel that I was called here at this time to be able to teach her. She told us she was going to be at church on Sunday so we had a member go to pick her up. She didn't answer :( It makes me so sad. She knows she needs to come so we will see what happens.
Funny Story: This past week we were at a members house for dinner. As I was eating the beans I noticed something moving in them. It was a bug. I didn't know what to do so I tried to pick it out without them seeing but I couldn't do it. Soo...I smushed the bug on my plate with my fork. It wouldn't come off the fork so I scooped it up with my beans and ate the bug. Just a little extra protein ;)
I'm loving being a missionary in this area. There is so much opposition but that means we're doing something right. I see the Lord's hand in my life everyday. Today I'm excited because I get to help greet all the new missionaries. I also am helping tomorrow to get them to transfers. I love new missionaries! Life is great but I miss you all!
Love,
Sister Smith
