Hi family!!
Yes kind of weird I am emailing today instead of Saturday. I went to the temple Saturday!! It was amazing! So do you remember Lauren Snyder? She is a returning member I taught when I was at IU. When I was there we were helping her to prepare to receive her endowments at the temple. So on Saturday we went and I got to be her escort. It was so amazing! I'm pretty sure I was more nervous than she was though because I hadn't been to the temple in so long! She also called President Cleveland and got permission for the 6 of us missionaries who served there together to all go to the temple with our companions so there were over 12 missionaries there. It was so good to see everyone! We all went out to breakfast at Denny's before and it was just good to catch up. They are my best friends. I miss them all so much!
This past week we were also able to teach some of our new investigators. We taught Kevin who is from Ecuador. A recent convert in our ward is friends with him and brought him to church and told us to teach him. So now we are! He is amazing! He is reading the Book of Mormon and came to church yesterday. He definitely loves the social aspect. He asks if we can meet everyday and he wants to go to all the activities that the ward has. It's been so good.
We also are teaching a man named Edouard. He is from Rwanda, Africa. He claims to be catholic but goes to a non-denominational church. He has been very responsive and is willing to learn and read the Book of Mormon. He also came to church yesterday and stayed for all three hours!!! It was a good day :)
We had a miracle yesterday. We met a man named Guocheng on campus a week ago. He is from China! He is so humble. His religious background is Buddhism, but he is a little familiar with God. We taught him the first part of the Plan of Salvation. He says he believes it! We invited him to be baptized and he said DEFINITELY!!!! Please pray for all these people. I'm hoping the spirit will touch their hearts and we can help them.
I love you all so much and miss you!!! Hope you have a good week :)
Love,
Sister Smith
P.S. I will be emailing this Saturday as well.
