Hello!!!
It was sooo good to talk to you on Christmas! I miss you all so much but talking to you motivated me to work even harder. I just loved hearing your voices. Especially Josh hahaha. You're a man! Kels I can't believe you got carded in the casino bahahaha. Story of our lives. People always think I'm like 17. The struggle is real.
On Christmas Eve we went over to the Anderson's. It was so much fun! They made dinner for us and we were able to decorate cookies, relax and just have fun. They also gave Sister Tanner and I a Christmas gift! Let's just say it was a great gift :) Hopefully we'll be with them on New Year's day as well.
On Christmas Day we woke up and Sister Tanner and I read Luke 2 together. It helped to really start the day off with the true meaning of Christmas. After we turned on some Christmas music and opened presents! Thank you so much for all the gifts. It really made my Christmas special. I love it all! I wore my new skirt two days in a row hahaha. So yeah I guess you could say I like it.
The best part of Christmas was talking to you all. After that we spent the rest of the day at Sister Colby's. She made an amazing meal for us. There were a ton of people there and a lot of them were nonmembers so it was fun for us as missionaries. Sister Colby even got us a few gifts :) It was so sweet. Christmas on the mission was the best.
To top of the Christmas season Tammy was baptized on Saturday!!! WAHHHOOOOO!!! The spirit is always so strong at a baptism. After Tammy came out of the water she looked at the man who baptized her and said, "Thank you." It was so tender. When we sat down she looked at me and just started crying. I said to her, "Tammy, everything is washed away. You're clean." Tears ran down her face. I know that she had a lot of things from her past bothering her. It was such a tender moment for her to realize that it was all forgotten. This was probably the best Christmas gift I could've gotten.
Funny story: At the baptism some lady just walked in the church building off the streets and came in and started eating the cookies we brought for the baptism. We asked her what she was doing and she said she just needed some shelter. So we had her come into the baptism. After awhile she just got up and left. Oh, but she didn't forget to grab a few more cookies before she left. Hahaha kind of odd. I guess that's pretty normal here.
It was so good to hear from you all!! I love you all so much!!
Love,
Sister Smith
