Hello family!!
Josh, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I love all the pictures you sent me mom :) I can't believe you're 16!!! You are growing up waaayyy tooo fast. I hope you liked my card! That was sent with love!
Mom I'm sorry you're not feeling well :( I feel ya! Although I don't have pneumonia I haven't been feeling well lately. I've had an awful cold and so has Sister Smallcomb. Last night I got approximately three hours of sleep. It's been great. I woke up around three or four this morning and Sister Smallcomb was awake as well. We couldn't sleep so we watched the movie Legacy haha. It's a good one. No worries though, I got a blessing so I'll be on the mend soon!
I'm so excited to tell you about our miracle this week!! So Sister Smallcomb and I were out on campus walking around talking to people. Doing the usual haha. All of a sudden I saw this Asian walk past me and she was wearing a cross necklace. Here is the thing, Asian's are soooo open and so we are always trying to talk to them. I was so excited when I saw a christian Asian! That's even better! Well she walked past me and I didn't have the chance to say anything. I looked at Sister Smallcomb and said,"There is a christian Asian! We missed her! What do we do?!" Sister Smallcomb looked at me and said,"Well...go talk to her!" So I turned around and ran after her. I probably looked like an idiot but oh well haha. I ran up to her and started talking to her. She told us that she is a new christian and is looking into learning more. She asked us if we could teach her how to pray and then she asked us if she could meet with us again! WHHHAAA???!!! YES!!! We were so excited!!!
On Friday night we met up with her. Her name is Helen Pu. We went to dinner with her and it was awesome!! We taught her a little about the Plan of Salvation. She really doesn't know anything about Jesus so it's going to be a slow process. She told us at dinner that she wants to be baptized!! My life is complete haha. I know that Sister Smallcomb and I responded to a prompting we received and because of it we saw a miracle.
Funny story: Last night we had dinner with a member in our branch, Lauren, at the institute. When we were done we saw a car outside of another member in our branch. We took some of the old Christmas pass along cards and stuck them all over his car. It looked great haha! When I get the pictures I'll send them to you!
I love you all so much!! Have a blessed week!! Keep sharing the gospel!!
Love,
Sister Smith
