Hello family!!!!
I can't believe Sabrina is coming home!!! That is so crazy how fast time flies by! I'm so sad that I won't be there when she comes home. It will be so amazing when we get to see each other again. Josh I'm glad you're liking high school! Tell Josh to send me pics! Kels your hair is so cute! I love love the bangs on you! Jake! Oh my gosh I totally know Mandy Call. Does she know me? Do you think it's weird you're dating a girl who is one year older than me? It sounds like stake conference was good too. In our ward they also talked about the importance of the sacrament. I think it will really help everyone to be more reverent.
Well this week has definitely been full of adventures. To start off, last Monday we went as a district and got pedicures! It was so nice! Ever since the temple open house my feet have been really bad so it was good to get that and be able to relax a bit.
This week we taught our investigator named Zach. He told us that he had some questions he wanted us to answer. We told him we would take them and study and get the answers he needed. Well come to find out the member who was with us went home and googled the questions. (I told her too because they seemed like they were anti questions.) And of course they were. We answered all of the questions for him but when we went back I confronted him about it. I don't think I've ever been so bold on my mission. I was so mad. We told him we would give him another chance as long as he would stop looking at the anti. We'll see how it goes. Pray for him and us.
We also met with our other investigator Nanette. She is about 50 years old and was excommunicated when she was 19 years old and really wants to come back into the church. She didn't come to church yesterday so hopefully she makes it the next week. Whenever we teach her she starts to cry and the spirit is always so strong. Her baptismal date is for september 19th. It might have to be moved around though because she wants to be baptized by her son who lives in Virginia. We're working on that.
Time for the crazy, funny, exciting stories of the week. We were teaching our new investigator named Ty. In the middle of the lesson Sister Krout was talking and I leaned over to pet Ty's cat. All of a sudden it attacked me! It bit me and then clawed my hand. Its claws got stuck in my hand so Ty had to rip its paw and claws from off of me. I was screaming the whole time. AND then I was teaching and talking with my hands and the cat attacked me AGAIN!!! I was a mess. I played it off cool though like it didn't hurt. My hand was a bloody mess. THEN the mission nurse heard about this and freaked out because she said I could get some disease from this cat so she said I needed to go on antibiotics right away. I haven't picked them up yet but I think it's safe to say I'm fine. :)
Sister Krout and I have had so many adventures this past week it's hard to tell you them all. I'm so grateful for this opportunity I have to serve a mission. I've been able to see my testimony grow so much. I love JESUS!!!!
Love you all!
Love,
Sister Smith
P.S. I sang in a wedding on Saturday. You would've been so proud. I sounded like a black woman with soul.
