Hello Family!!!
It sounds like you're all doing really well!! Kels congrats on nursing school! You're going to be the best nurse ever! Jake...what are you going to do with your life now that you quit your job? I have to say I thought that text was pretty funny! Josh, love the new dresser! You are all changing so fast. STOP.
Okay so this week has been just ya know the usual missionary grind. We tract and teach the gospel everyday. We met with Smokey this last week and watched the Joseph Smith Resto movie. He really liked it. His progression is really slow but I think he will get baptized eventually. He is now in Florida so we won't be able to meet with him. I wish I was in Florida. It's so cold here!
This week we got stood up by our investigator Andrew Jordan. He told us he wants to be baptized but he is such a flake. I think we need to teach him how to commit. We found some amazing new investigators this past week. One is named Ernie and his daughter is Emma. When we started to teach him he called his daughter over and told her to listen. He says that they've been through a lot lately and that he really needs this in his life. We also got a new investigator named Ryan. He said he's been thinking a lot lately about being baptized and feels that he needs to. We told him we could help him out with that ;)
So we went to church yesterday and in the middle of sacrament I got really sick. I started to cry and didn't know if I could make it. So we went home and I took some medicine and a nap. When I woke up I felt AMAZING! I felt so good that I hopped out of bed and basically was running out the door to go do missionary work. We taught a girl named Olivia yesterday. She told us that she wasn't going to join the Mormon church but that she was open to listening. That's what they all say and then they get baptized haha. Well we taught her about the Book of Mormon and she loved it. She said that she would read and pray about it everyday this week. Her dad and her boyfriend that she's living with right now are both into drugs and she says that she needs some good in her life. She suffers from depression and anxiety. This gospel is meant for her.
Love you all!! Hopefully I'll have more funny and crazy stories for you next week. Loves!
Love,
Sister Smith
