Hi family :)
I miss you all!!! I can't believe how fast this week has gone by. I get to email you all again!!
I have so many stories to tell you!! First, on Monday we went to the fair! It was really hot and smelly but it was worth it. We had a miracle happen while we were there though! We were just walking around looking at the horses and there was a man standing there with a little girl. I went up and just started talking to him. Well come to find out he is a professional fighter and his last church kind of kicked him out because they didn't approve. Well...we started talking to him about what we believe and our church. We invited him and he said he would come to church! So we gave him our card and told him to call us. Well...he did! He called us this past week and we set up a time for us to meet with him this next week!!! Ahhhh!! He's amazing. He's definitely a Kingdom Builder. His name is Johnathan BTW haha.
We are still teaching the Flores kids and they are still working towards August 1st to be baptized. The only thing is the boys are both struggling with the word of wisdom. :( :( So it's really sad but hopefully they can pull it together soon! Keep praying for them!
We had Specialized Training this past week. It's a training for all the new missionaries. We do a lot of role plays and of course my trainee Sister Gray did the best. Maybe I'm bias haha.
Also, I think I've told you before but we are teaching a part member family, the Purvis family. The mom is not a member but we go over each week and do family night with them. They have the cutest kids!! Well on Sunday we decided to go to her church to check it out and then hopefully she'll come to ours. It was a different experience let me tell ya. Not like the Pentecostal but they preached about how you can't base your faith off of feelings. Well...you're wrong but don't worry I didn't tell them. But I did comment in their bible study class!! Yeeeaahhh!!! You proud mom? Preaching the gospel in their church :) That's how it's done. Drop the mic...
Now for a funny story!! So we were tracting the other day and we both had to go to the bathroom so bad!! I was dying! Well usually when this happens we just ask someone to use their bathroom but no one was answering their doors. Lucky for us we saw a cornfield behind the homes. So...yes we went into the cornfield and did our business. I'm sure a lot of you can't say you ever did that! When you got to go you got to go!!
Love you all!! Have a good week :)
Love,
Sister Smith
