Hello!!
It's always so good to hear from you all! I can't believe that I'll get to talk to you soon! This is going to be the best Christmas ever! I can't believe that Aliyah is 13!! That seriously just blew my mind. Everyone is growing up so fast.
This week was such a great week. I just love this area so much. There always so many crazy experiences but I've had some of my most spiritual experiences here as well. I know God cares about the people here in Crossroads and loves them very much.
We met with our investigator Marcie this past week. I love her so much!! She is so amazing! She told us that she was at work and one of her coworkers started talking about how Mormons are a cult and how Joseph Smith wrote the Book of Mormon. Marcie said to him, "That is not true. The Book of Mormon was interpreted by Joseph Smith through Jesus Christ. AND I've never been happier in my whole life than in the Mormon Church." I guess when she told the guy that he backed down and said that he was happy for her haha. We were so excited for her!!!! She isn't even baptized yet and she is defending the church as her own. The gospel of Jesus Christ Changes peoples lives.
In church on Sunday, our investigator Tammy shared her experience about meeting with the missionaries. She started crying and said how she is excited to make this church her family. AAAHHH!!! Seriously I have been blessed to have the most solid investigators!
On Friday, our zone went to downtown and Indy and went caroling. It was so much fun! There is a big monument there that's in the middle of the city and it is all decorated like a Christmas tree. We all stood in front of the tree as missionaries and sang Christmas songs. We had so many people watching us. While some of the missionaries were singing we were able to go around to the different people and hand out cards for our churches Christmas video. It was such a great experience.
This past week we also helped Doug, a recent convert, with family history. We were able to find so much information about his family. He couldn't believe it! He just kept hugging us and saying "Thank you thank you!" For awhile Doug hasn't felt like he's ready to get the priesthood, but because we've been working on family history and focusing on the temple he told us that his is ready to get it. YAY!!! Miracles are happening.
I love and miss you all so much! Have a good week :)
Love,
Sister Smith
