It's so good to hear from you all! Josh I'm glad you had a good time on your high adventure. I wish I could've been there to hear all of the boys get up and bear their testimonies. I'm sure it was amazing! Kels I'm so glad you're a dating machine. AND I'm glad you went on a date with Josh! I was so happy to hear that! He's such an awesome guy. Don't worry though no pressure. Jake I hope all is going well with you. Farewells are always fun but hard to go to.
This past week has been filled with the temple open house again. I love it so much. There's only one more week left and it's going to be really hard when it's over. So many miracles happened this past week as well. I swear we have like five to ten miracles a day. I love it!
On Saturday it was so crazy busy! There was over 7,000 people who went through the temple that day. And becuse we live in Carmel we got called in and worked all day. We were supposed to meet an investigator there at three but he didn't show up. We were about to leave when we got a phone call. Their names are Ann and Jim. We met them at the wine festival we went to when we were handing out temple open house invites. They called us and said they were on their way to the temple and wanted us to go through with them! It was perfect! We were able to go through with them and I know they felt the spirit. They had so many questions and after we would explain things they would say, "Yeah that makes sense." THE CHURCH IS TRUE.
Also, on Saturday we were working in the reception tent so we got to answer peoples questions. One family came in and asked how do we join your church? HAHAHA WHAAAA?!? Well we told them what we do as missionaries and then we showed them the comment cards and had them put down their information. THE CHURCH IS TRUE.
Just a little fun side note I am officially 30 dollars richer this week. There was an old lady who needed help being pushed in her wheel chair through the temple so I got to do that for her. She is 95 years old and so funny. Well when we got out of the temple she told me she wanted to give me a tip for helping her. I told her I couldn't take it and that it was all worth it. As we got to her car I was helping her in and she went to grab my hand and put a 20 dollar bill in it. She told me to take it and that she couldn't leave without giving it to me. The other 10 dollars I got from a member all in the same day. So I definitely felt bad taking it but what was I supposed to do?!
So that's my life as of right now. I've met so many amazing people. Everyday is such a blessing to work in the temple. I love you all!! Keep praying for more miracles to come from the temple!
Love,
Sister Smith
