Hello everyone!!
It sounds like you all are doing well! I'm so jealous that you went to Zions. I feel like you go all the time and I still haven't been! I want to go when I get home. Jake congrats on your job! Josh I cannot believe you're in high school. That is freaking me out. You look like a stud though. Watch out for all the ladies!
Life as a missionary as of late has been the best. The temple is finally dedicated! Yay! I went to 2 of the 3 sessions yesterday and loved it all! President Eyring was so cute. I love him. I just got to watch it at the church but I saw a lot of people I knew who were in the temple. It's cool to see everyone from the other areas that I've served in. Last night we got to help in the temple and clean out the chairs and put up the finishing touches. It has been such an experience with the temple.
Last Monday we went to the state fair. It started pouring rain so we basically hung out in a barn the whole time. My companion, Sister Krout, got hit on by an old man. I ate a corn dog. It was a success.
This past week we had zone conference as well. We got black boxes on our cars and they track our speed and everything else we do in our cars. It tells you if you're going too fast too and it will mark you down. The box has been talking to me a lot lately but I'm getting used to it. I just have a need for speed. President Cleveland spoke to us at zone conference and he said, "Seeds have been planted. The time to harvest is now." I love that! So zone conferences really pump me up and after we went out and worked really hard. We invited a man named TY to be baptized while on his doorstep and he said yes. We also got six new investigators this week. Indiana is the promised land.
Now for the best part. Our apartment has cockroaches. Yep. Lots of them. Sister Krout and I have been screaming a lot lately as we've been trying to kill them. Did you know if you chop off their head they still can run around and are still alive? Yep found that out. Anyway, we're trying to get it all figured out. Also, our apartment smells like smoke all the time because our neighbor is a chain smoker. I LOVE THE MISSION!! I really do though things like this make for some fun experiences.
Well I love you all and hope you're doing well! Favorite scripture of the week: Alma 26:12, "In His strength I can do all things."
Love,
Sister Smith
