Hello family!!
How are you?! You know you probably don't have to answer that because you just got back from a CRUISE so of course you're doing good!!! I loved seeing all those pictures!! Grandma is so funny! She is so cute I loved seeing her on the boat with Josh.
This week has been such a good week! It was Sister Sowards birthday this past week so we did a lot of partying! Partying as in lots of more missionary work haha.
We also had zone meeting this past week. I was so exhausted by the end of the week haha. I'm pretty sure I could fall asleep standing up right now.
Now for all the miracles!! We have an investigator named Samantha. The sisters before me taught her a little bit but not a lot. She is friends with Lauren, a member in the branch. Well there was kind of a break where she got really busy and wasn't able to meet but we still stayed in contact and became good friends :) This past week she told us she wanted to meet again and wanted to do it for herself this time. Now she has a new desire! So on Sunday we had a lesson with her to teach her about Jesus Christ. She doesn't have any religious background so we had to teach her who He is. Lauren was there with us and the spirit was so strong. We were all crying haha. After the lesson Sam looked at us and told us that she felt like she needed to pray. This was amazing because she did not want to pray in front of us. She never prayed in front of the other missionaries either. She told us that her heart was pounding and she was shaking. She was crying too. We told her that's the spirit!!! So...SHE PRAYED!!!!! IT WAS SO AMAZING!!!!! She told us she felt good afterwards as well. This is why I love missionary work. We haven't been having a lot of success lately so this was good to have happen.
Helen Pu is still doing good just really busy with school :( Finals are coming up so its gotten crazy around here. Marcus is doing good as well. He is still struggling with pornography but we continue to teach him and go to the addiction recovery meetings. This last meeting we went to they needed help so I was able to help conduct the meeting! It was awesome!!!
I love you all! Miss you tons xoxo
Love,
Sister Smith
