Hello!!
I'm so happy to be emailing you all! This week has been a rough week for a few reasons so it won't be that long of an email haha.
Sister Gray is still sick. Poor thing! She's been sick for over a week now. She has this awful cough and keeps throwing up. We thought she was better on Wednesday so we went to do some service. We were sanding and that just irritated her lungs even more. We realized she's not better. So basically this whole week we've been in our apartment. We have gone out for short periods of time and then she gets feeling sick and we have to go back inside. Luckily for me I've had a lot of time on my hands.
Things I do while Sister Gray is resting:
1. Read the scriptures. (I read the book of Acts chapters 1-15 yesterday haha)
2. Clean the apartment. It's never looked this good.
3. Paint my nails. They have been lots of different colors this week.
4. Workout. Got to get that nice bod before I come home.
5. Sleep. This is a last resort.
So this list goes on but this is basically what my week has consisted of. Don't worry we are going to the doctor today so hopefully she can get better!
Now for the bad news. The Flores kids are not getting baptized today :( Over the course of this week they have revealed to us a lot of different things that prevent them from getting baptized. They have been lying to our faces this whole time. They kept telling us they weren't smoking weed anymore but that's a lie. One of the kids actually came to church high one time. They also have been drinking as well. The thing is their mom doesn't care. It's the worst. So I've cried a lot this past week. It's so hard when you know this will bless their life but you have to let them make their own decisions. This is a lesson that I've had to learn. I'm super grateful that they told us all of these things though because it shows they understand how important baptism is. They have felt super guilty as well which is a sign they are drawing closer to Christ and understand that what they've done is wrong. There are blessings everywhere you look no matter how hard the situation is.
On the bright side!! The Anderson's heard about all this and so they came down on Saturday to take us out for lunch! They are the greatest. I needed this. It had been such a rough week. They always make me happy :)
I love you all so much!! Hope you have a good week :)
Love,
Sister Smith
