Hellllllooooo!!!
Mom thank you so much for those pictures you sent me! I love seeing everyone grow up. That's so fun that Reinan is in Salt Lake. Lexus looks so cute I miss her tons. Kels! You are so pretty! Josh I love your braces. You are a stud. Jake looks like a model in these pics. Keep working it Jake.
It's official! The temple open house is over! There were over 91,000 people who went through. That's more than they had anticipated. I'm sad and happy at the same time. It was so much fun and I made so many friends. There were so many miracles its hard to even keep track of them all. So the temple has basically been my life for this last transfer. Oh btw, a few sisters from the Ohio mission got to help out with the open house and we got to know them. Guess who I became really good friends with? Sister Hefner! She is Mindy and Clark Ashby's niece. It was really fun to get to know her, she is so cute!
I have an announcement! Next transfer I will be training!!!!! Crazy right?! I'm basically scared out of my mind. It will definitely be more of a growing experience for me than my trainee. I don't know where I'm going yet but I know that I will be double transferred in. I'm really sad that I'll be leaving Sister Lowry but I know that we're going to be friends forever.
Last night we had a fireside in downtown Indy and it's called "Why I Believe." They have recent converts from all over the mission come and speak about why they joined the church. Some of the stories are so amazing! I cried basically the whole time. One of the speakers names is Kevin. I think I may have told you about him. He's gay but he knows the church is true so he's been working to overcome that. He said that the week before he found the missionaries he had tried to commit suicide. It's amazing to see how the gospel can change someones life.
This past week we were also able to teach a girl named Maddy. She is the girlfriend of a Priest in our ward. She went through the temple open house and had a lot of questions. Her family is all Catholics. When we were teaching her she had so many questions that we taught her the Restoration and Plan of Salvation. She said that all of it made sense it was just different. She said that she also believed in the Godhead and that she thought the trinity was confusing. We agreed with her.
So many miracles are happening because of the temple! I love missionary work! I love you all! Stay safe and work hard!
Love,
Sister Smith
