Mi Familia!
Hello hello! It sounds like everyone is doing good! Jake I'm sorry to hear you can't turn in your papers till the end of April. At least everything is ready to go! Jake and Josh sounds like you're crushing it in tennis whoot whoot! I miss you all and love the pictures! Please keep sending more. Jake...hahaha What a ladies man! That"s my bro!
This week I wasn't in any hoarder homes but it still was an interesting week. The beginning of the week we met with Ben. We gave him a church tour and when we sat down to teach him more, the spirit was so strong. I know that he is ready for this. We found out that he is a Psychological Operations in the army. So apparently he's been analyzing us from the beginning. Cool. We invited him to church and Saturday night he said he was coming well... 9 am rolled around and he didn't show up :( That's okay though because there is always next week! So the beginning of the week was rough but towards the end of the week miracles happened. On Thursday we went tracting ALL day. Ya know just the usual. When we go tracting a lot of people just don't answer their door or slam the door on our face but people actually talked to us AND were interested! One woman started crying to us on the door step. It was amazing how when we taught her the gospel you could see her joy and the peace that came from it. There were so many people we met that day! On Saturday we met a man named Ryan. When we introduced ourselves as missionaries he almost started to cry, keep in mind he is a grown man. He said that he's had a rough life as of late. He said that a month ago he just started praying and reading the Bible. He told us it was a miracle that we were at his door. Prayers are answered and when you follow the spirit miracles happen. We showed him the new Easter video the church came out with. It's called "Because He Lives". EVERYONE WATCH IT! IT'S AMAZING! Well Ryan loved it and invited us to come back. He has three jobs so please pray that we can find a time to meet. He is so prepared for us. I love the gospel! People are changed because of Christ.
Womens conference was amazing! My favorite talk was Sister Oscarson. I love how she said we need to be bold and defend the doctrines of Christ. Defend marriage! A lot of people have questions here on our views on gays and lesbians. I think it's important to not be afraid of saying what we believe but let them know we love everyone as Christ does. When you teach with love and boldness and not get defensive the other person is more accepting and understanding of your views. It's so important in the world today to defend what you believe. Don't be afraid!
Well that's my life as of late! Thanks for the package mom! I got it right before I walked out the door to email so perfect timing :) Hope everyone is doing well. I love and miss you all. Mom don't worry I am getting fed, probably too much. A few of my skirts are not fitting as well haha. But I think I'm going shopping today so that'll be good. I love the ward I'm in and the missionaries I'm around. My zone is so fun! Today we are going to the gym at the church to play Hoosier ball. It's so fun! I'll have to teach you all when I get home. I feel like all the youth would love it! Talk to you soon!
Love,
Sister Smith
