Hello family!!!!
I get to talk to you all this Sunday!!!! AHHHHH!!!! I'm freaking out!!!!! I'm going to be bawling my eyes out just to let you know haha. I can't believe it's Monday again. Time flies by when you're preaching the gospel! This week was filled with funny, crazy and spiritual experiences.
To start the week off Sister Perry and I decided that we wanted to find other ways to find investigators. Soo...we used chalk and went to a walking trail and wrote messages about God. As we were walking down the trail we saw an old man stumbling out of the woods. We went over to him and his hand was bleeding and he could barely stand. Apparently he was in there and tripped and then stumbled out. His apartment wasn't too far so we walked him back. He is seriously the cutest old man ever! And guess what?! He's 97!!! Yep 97!!! He lives by himself, drives himself, and does everything on his own. He wouldn't let us help patch up his hand so we visited him the next day just to make sure he was doing okay. He just kept saying how grateful he was for us. To be honest I feel it's the other way around. We plan on visiting him quite often :) I know that God had us there so that we could help him. I know that God is in every detail of our lives and putting us in other peoples paths to help them.
Also, this week I cleaned another hoarder house. Yay....It was so gross. You would've all died. He's an old man. He's a hoosier so he has no teeth, a beard and of course he has a dog. Well he told us that during the winter he never took his dog out to go to the bathroom because it was too cold. Ummm excuse me WHAT??!!! Ya freaking nasty! Don't worry I didn't say that to him. Yeah so as you probably can imagine it was a nasty smell. AND when I cleaned his bathroom I had to...well actually that is probably enough detail for one email. You'll thank me later. I know he was grateful for our help. And I am happy when I serve people no matter how gross it is. I'm starting to get a stronger stomach.
This week we also went to a baptism of a convert in another ward in our stake. He's a big, I mean BIG, man. So first off the water was low and second of all he floated. So they had to baptize him 4 times. It was so funny!!! I was trying not to laugh. The first time his forehead didn't go under. The second time he was just floating. The third time he started floating again and then hit his head on the wall. So on the fourth time they had him kneel and then he just went forward hahahaha. It was the best.
Now about our investigators. We met with Peggy this last week and she told us that she wants to postpone her baptismal date. She said she doesn't think she will be able to quit smoking by then. We talked her about faith and how she needs to trust in the Lord to help her. By the end of the lesson she was back on board and is now working even harder. Ben well...he hasn't been meeting with us and we are sick of trying to get him to meet. So we asked him why he wanted to meet with us. Well...long story short he first told us he does care about his salvation and he's just been busy. He also said that he really likes Sister Perry! hahahaha I was dying!!! So we had a little chat and everything worked out.
Life is so good!! I'm loving every second and each door we knock on is an adventure. I love you all.

Love you lots!
