Hello everyone!!!!
I'm so glad you all had a good fourth of July! It was so fun to see all those pictures of the family but made me sad that I'm not there. :( Please tell everyone that I say hi and love them!!!
I have so much to tell you!!!!!! I don't even know where to begin!!! Okay first off Sister Gray was very sick this past week. She got the flu and was throwing up. Poor thing! She has gone trough so much. So all day Tuesday we stayed inside. Well I got a little cabin fever and couldn't stay inside any longer haha. So on Wednesday I went on exchanges with the STL's and then one of them stayed back with Sister Gray. It was so nice of them. No worries she is all better now.
We taught the Shipley kids this past week. It is a members grand kids. They are so cute and always so fun to teach! Our next goal with them is to get the kids to come to church. We're trying to think of ways to make it sound exciting to them haha.
Today we had a miracle!! The Flores family is on date to be baptized August 1st!!!!!! They accepted that and are so excited. We are excited as well. The mom is Naomi, daughter is Maria, son is Robert and the other son is Adrian(funny right?). I'm very happy :)
We had another miracle happen this week as well. We were praying about where we should go tracting and as we were driving a road stood out to me. I told sister gray that we are going there haha. I turned the car around and we went finding. One of the first doors we knocked on we introduced ourselves and she said she wasn't interested. We told her that we do service and asked if she needed any help. She paused and then told us to come back another day to help her with her garden. When we came back we helped her plant her flowers. She got both her knees replaced so she can't really bend on kneel on them that's why she needed our help. Here is a little about Teresa. She is at home alone and is an older woman. She attends the Lutheran church but as we were helping her with her garden she told us there are a few things with the Lutheran church she doesn't believe/agree with. She also told us that the day we knocked on her door she was doing some service somewhere in town. As she was helping the community she thought to herself,"I wish I had someone who could help me as well." She told us that two hours after she got home we knocked on her door :) We told her that God is looking out for her and loves her very much. We also, said that God sent us to her. She told us she agrees. We're going back next week. MIRACLE!!! If we listen to the spirit God will lead us to those who are ready for the gospel.
Okay now church!!! This week we had the Lopez family at church and Robert and Adrian Flores!!!! It was such a good day. Because it was fast sunday we had a testimony meeting. Robert is 17 years old and in the middle of the meeting he leaned over and said he wanted to go up to the stand and talk. I told him that it is perfectly fine for him to do that. He was the last one to get up and went to the stand. He started off by saying his name and that he's a shy guy. Then he told everyone that he liked meeting with the missionaries and coming to church. He said that he's been to a lot of churches but that he feels something different in our church. AAAHHHH!!!!! IT WAS THE GREATEST THING EVER!!!!!! I couldn't stop smiling the whole time. And I cried haha. I love those kids.
My fourth of July was super exciting! President got all the missionaries tickets to the Indianapolis Zoo!! So our whole zone went there for the 4th. It was great. I love Dolphins :) After that we came home and went grocery shopping and went to bed. So I didn't see any fireworks because Columbus does their fireworks the friday before and we didn't get permission to be out late on that day :(. Oh and we ate Taco Bell for dinner haha. It was really great though.
Okay last thing! Today we went to a farm and sheered some sheep!!! This lady takes their wool and spins it into thread. I was covered in poop and smelled bad but it was worth it. I let the elders touch the sheep. I just help the trash bag for the wool haha. There is a reason I don't live on a farm.
Love you all!! Miss you lots xoxoxoxo
