Hi everyone!!
I'm sorry that you got snow in Utah! I thought Indiana was going to be bad but God has blessed me with a mild winter here. It's the best!
So I'm am now currently serving on Indiana University's campus. I LOVE it! It's way different than crossroads but it will be a good change. My companion is Sister Smallcomb she is from Springville, Utah. This is her last transfer before she goes home :( We've been friends since the beginning of my mission so it's been fun being with her.
Right now we are teaching three main investigators who are all preparing for baptism. I'm really lucky to have come to this area. One is named Andy. We met with him this past week and he said he was hesitant about being baptized on February 6th. He said he felt it was right but that he wants his mom to be there. His mom has been really against the church so he was really nervous about it all. We told him to talk to him mom about it and that we would be praying for him. We all planned to fast this past Sunday for it all to work out. Well on Saturday he texted us and said that he told his mom and she said he could get baptized on the 6th and that she would be there!!!!! AHAAHHAHHH!! We were so excited! Later that night he texted us again and said that his mom would be coming to church on Sunday! She came and it was so amazing!! Fasting and prayer truly brings blessings.
Another miracle is we went on campus to go find and teach people and the first person we saw it was our investigator! His name is Solomon. He said that he had some free time and so we taught him about the Restoration. It was so good! He agreed to be baptized! He hasn't really grown up with any religion so he felt really good about it.
Anyway, I love being here and I'm excited for all the new adventures. Love you all and miss you!
Love,
Sister Smith
