Hello my dearest family!!!
I can't believe you are going to Washington D.C.!!!! That's so crazy I'm jealous for sure. Indiana is better though :) Jk Kels. I'm so glad that you are all doing well. It sounds like that camp you went to was fun. Jake you are officially done with school!!! How does it feel? Maybe I would know if you would write me....Josh you're going to be in high school?!? That's so crazy!
I got to go to the Chicago temple this week!!!! Crazy!!!! It was so amazing! We were like the only ones in the session. I've never had that before. The spirit was so strong. The temple definitely gives me strength. I can't believe that was this week it feels like forever ago. I can't wait till I get to go through the Indianapolis temple! We have been told that as sisters we will all get to help with the temple somehow. I'm so excited!!!
I have some big exciting news for you! Our investigator Steven Farnsworth is getting baptized this Saturday!!!!! I'm so happy!!!!! He is so amazing! He is 19 years old and has such a strong faith and desire to be baptized. We've taught the rest of his family off and on but he is the most prepared. This is my first baptism in the mission. It's amazing to see how much Steven has changed in just the amount of time we've taught him. He is so ready! The more I see the gospel change others lives the more my testimony grows. I know that this church is true. It all just makes sense. When people try to argue they never can because the gospel can answer every and any question you have.
Sister Lowry and I are having so much fun!!! Missionary work is seriously the best. We have crazy things happen to us everyday. It's so hot here and humid. The humidity is crazy! I sweat buckets everyday. I have some crazy tan lines to because we are always out in the sun haha. The other day we were teaching our investigator Kaitlynn who is 16 years old. We were teaching her about Jesus Christ and we told her that He was resurrected and lives today. Her eyes got wide and she just stared at us. She couldn't believe that Christ was alive. She is so funny! I feel like we're teaching a primary kid. I love teaching her because we have to teach super simple. I'm not used to it because everyone here has a knowledge of Christ.
I love you all and miss you! Please keep being missionaries and find ways to serve others. You never know the kind of difference you can make in someones life. Keep on keepin!
Love,
Sister Smith
