Hello everybody!!!
Quote from Grandma Cleveland. She said to Sister Krout and me,"You two are so beautiful! You could be on the front of the Ensign!"
Best. Compliment. Ever.
Thank you thank you thank you for the package!!!! I loved it so much!! That was exactly what I needed. Although I don't know what I'll do with the marshmallows but we'll figure somethin out. Mom I'm so jealous that you're in Florida. I need to go there when I get home. Jake you look so fresh with no beard. Josh. I need to see more pics of you! Kels looking good as always.
This week was seriously the craziest week. I have so much to tell you! Okay so to start off, last Monday we had a volleyball tournament as a zone. We do it once a transfer. And my team made it to the volleyball finals!! Wahoo! Unfortunately we lost, but still second place is really good for my volleyball skills.
On Wednesday we went to the temple with Sister Lowry and her companion and the Anderson's. I went through for one of our ancestors Jane Liston. It was such a good experience. I felt the spirit so strong in there.
This past week we also celebrated Sister Lowry's birthday. She said she never really celebrated it when she was home so we went all out. Sister Krout and I decorated her apartment and then we went out for dinner later that night. We were at texas roadhouse and all the waiters and waitresses kept coming over to our table because they said there was just something different about us. It's cause we're cool. Jk it was the spirit.
On Thursday we went on exchanges in Crossroads. It's basically downtown Indy. Can I say GHETTO!!! It was so different compared to the rich area I'm in. You have to teach and talk to people differently. On Saturday we also went to Crossroads to do some service. We helped cleaned the trash off the streets. While we were cleaning I found a bullet casing and some other items I won't mention. We were the only white people there haha. I loved it.
Later that day we had an Interfaith fireside. The guest speakers were Steven Webb and Alonzo Gaskill. Steven is Catholic and a theology professor and Alonzo is a World religions professor at BYU. He's so smart! Before the fireside we were invited to help with the dinner they had for them. We served all the guests and then were able to eat with them. Sister Krout and I were the only missionaries. We got to sit at Steven's table and he asked us a ton of questions about being a missionary. It was such a cool opportunity!
I'm grateful to be a missionary and share the gospel with others. I know this is Christ's church on the earth today. Lately we've had a lot of people saying that we're not Christians. It blows my mind because we are The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints. I love being able to be a representative of Jesus Christ!
Love you all!
