My family!!!
I miss you all so much! It looks like you all had fun in D.C. I will for sure have to visit there when I get back. Jake I hope you had an awesome birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Happy Fathers Day Dad!!! I sent you both letters so look for them in the mail.
I can't believe it's already been a week! Time has flown by so fast. So I found out I will for sure be getting transferred. I'm not sure where yet but it will be close to the temple! I'm really excited about that because I will be helping with the open house. We have two trainings before it opens. So hopefully it will help me figure out what I'm doing. I'm going to be really sad to leave this area but I've been here for awhile and I'm ready to see and experience the rest of Indiana. I mean not like it's any different but just to get a different view of other corn fields.
This last week Sister Lowry and I went tracting in a neighborhood that is in the middle of nowhere. It's called Brookston. She was on her crutches at first but then she decided not to use them. She hates them because they bruise her armpits. Well I decided to take them and was playing around with them. A lady came outside and started to yell at us. She told us she was watching through the window (creepy) and that she knows we're faking it. She told us to get out of her neighborhood. I tried to explain that she really did have a fractured foot but the lady wasn't having it. I asked her what her name was and she told us it was none of our business haha. Well we told her to have a good day and we got in our car and just drove around the corner to another set of homes hahaha. We then were followed by a set of kids on their bikes who followed us to each house we went to. They were that lady's children. We didn't let the biker gang stop us!!!! "THE STANDARD OF TRUTH HAS BEEN ERECTED: NO UNHALLOWED HAND CAN STOP THE WORK FROM PROGRESSING!" AND after all this we had a miracle. The Dazey family let us into their home. We taught them the Plan of Salvation and the spirit was so strong. Hopefully we can keep teaching them and help them to draw closer to Christ.
I'm having so much fun and I love every second of the mission. Even when you get yelled at! I always laugh because some of the things that happen are just crazy. Hope all is well!
Love,
Sister Smith
